The transmitter modules are of redundant design, and transmit / receive using two groundplane aerials. These aerials feature circular polarisation and offer virtually ideal radiation characteristics which are clearly superior to those of conventional W-LAN rod aerials. All transmit / receive data is recorded on an SD card in the transmitter module. Memory capacitors allow the module to continue towork for a while even if the transmitter battery fails - the ideal flight recorder. An audible signal warns the pilot if the voltage of the receiver's power source in the model falls below a particular threshold value. The transmitter module also provides a warning if the limit of range is reached.
Later there will be a firmware update which permits telemetry functions using weatronic software. Transmitter modules are available for all current Graupner, Multiplex and Futaba transmitters which feature interchangeable modules. The range of the weatronic 2.4 GHz Dual FHSS system is more than adequate, and the equipment is suitable for use with all types of model including jets and large-scale gliders. Measurements have demonstrated a ground range of more than 3000 metres at a height of one metre.
The modules are supplied complete with adapter fittings, connecting lead, and adapter housing (as original RF module) or adapter circuit board for connection inside the transmitter. The conversion can be completed in just a few minutes. It is possible to convert back to 35 MHz operation at any time.

This series has been developed for small and medium-sized models, gliders and helicopters. It is a high-quality 2.4 GHz Dual FHSS double receiver with very high sensitivity and interference rejection capability. The electronics are housed on two circuit boards. The RF section is duplicated, and each circuit has its own aerial, thereby ensuring full aerial diversity. The signal packetsfrom both aerials are constantly analysed and assessed for completeness and validity. The latest generation of 32-bit ARM processor is responsible for this function and further control functions.
The fail-safe settings for each channel can be programmed individually from the transmitter. Just like the larger airborne electronic units, the Dual Receiver 2.4 Dual FHSS Micro series is designed with maximum security as top priority.This includes: double Watchdog function, sophisticated output interference suppression, high maximum current capacity, 5 Volt signal voltage, operating voltage 4 - 9 Volt, external electronic switch / regulator, wide permissible temperature range.

"I cannot recommend this 2.4 Ghz equipment highly enough.
I have been using RC equipment for many, many years waiting for bullet proof radio gear and now finally I have the product that does all it promises.
I have found the RC link to be absolutely rock solid without any problems of any kind, whilst other 2.4 Ghz flyers were experiencing glitches and signal loss. I believe frequency hopping is a must, this has it.
The facilities the system offers in terms of post flight information along with the in-built Band Scanner and
full reporting are really excellent. It is so comprehensive I discovered that some of my apparently 'good' receiver battery packs were not upto standard! At least one model saved. Superb gear!
I will be selling all my 'other' 2.4 radio gear.
One request, Mr Weatronic, is for a tiny Rx for use in my slopers with slim fuselages!
