Shadow 3.7m Electric Thermal Soarer. A wing span of just under 3.7m and light weight construction make this an extremely efficient electric glider! With 74dm2 of wing area this model will out float the rest. The model handles extremly well and has the feel of a smaller span ship. Construction is from moulded composites. The fuselage is constructed from super strong glass/kevlar/carbon reinforcement, and the wing has a carbon D-box centre section and tips. Wing profile is NH507m1, great for thermal duration with excellent launch and search capabilities. Accurate landings are possible with its large flaps and excellent handling at low air speeds. One benefit of owning this model is it only requires you to buy an F3J fuselage and you have two fantastic models, one super electric model and a state of the art contest F3J plane.
