"Needed a new model after damaging last one at Dartmoor 2 day cross country, the Shadow looked like it would fit the bill. Delivery was quick as was the assembly of the model. Set up was as pro experience, after first flight the CofG was moved slightly forward of the 103mm setting. The first comp, the wind varied from 15 - 20 mph, having left the ballast home the model was despatched from the slope with at lot of hope!, there was no need to worry with a little negative flap the model penetrated forward without any problem. The second comp at Crook Peek was totally different, the most wind speed recorded that day was 3 mph, but again the Shadow coped well with the lack of lift and wind. The main competitor was a "flinger" type model working very small thermals but the shadow held its own and out flew the smaller model - thus winning the comp. One happy flyer! P.S. all up flying weight 2030 grams."
